in the Parish Hall, every Thursday from 6 o’clock to around 7.45 p.m.
All are welcome!
Our Bible Study Group has been meeting regularly over the years to explore, understand, and enjoy the riches of God’s Word. In the past, we have examined themes such as Christian Living in the Book of James, topics like Social Justice in Amos, the challenging subjects of Heaven and Hell, that great story of God’s saving grace for a lost world which we know today as Salvation History, Paul’s most comprehensive theology in Romans, Lessons in Leadership for Daily Living from Nehemiah.
These studies are conducted by Wijith DeChickera, in the Parish Hall, every Thursday night from 6 o’clock to around 7.45, with a short time of prayer, light refreshments, and great fellowship to follow. All are welcome!
Most recently, our group – which has varied in number from a handful to over 20, and has now settled down to 12-15 every week – walked through Paul’s magnificent treatise on the church, the Book of Ephesians. And before that, during Lent this year, we took a ‘discipleship journey’ from Galilee to Jerusalem by reading devotionally through the Gospel of Mark, with the writer’s “sandwich story-telling technique” providing us with plenty of food for thought!
